If the day or the time of the Standard Tour is not convenient please let me know and I will do my best to arrange something more suitable for you. I can arrange a Tour that fits in with your Cruise Liners schedule and I can customise the length and the route of the Tour to suit your requirements. If you prefer less walking then I can also arrange a Tour that starts at the Top of the Rock and ends back down in the centre of the Town.
The Upper Rock Walking Tour is a great way to visit Gibraltar's Nature Reserve. You get to see so much more than you would have seen, had you taken a Mini Bus or the Cable Car.
My name is Stephen I am originally from the UK but now I am fortunate enough to be able to call Gibraltar my home. I have been fascinated by Gibraltar's history ever since my first visit in the early 1990's. I especially love walking around the Upper Rock and I hope to get the chance to meet you and show you a few of the attractions that Gibraltar has to offer.
The duration of the Tour is in the region of 3 - 4 hours and we proceed at a leisurely pace set by the participants as we walk up the Rock.
There will be numerous photo opportunities along the route. You will get the chance to see some stunning views and many of the historical military sites that are found in the Upper Rock.
I can take you to places that you would not usually visit if you go up by taxi or mini bus and I guarantee that you will always see some of Gibraltar’s world famous Monkeys.
The paths along the Upper Rock can be a little uneven therefore we recommend you wear suitable shoes and that you also bring along a bottle of water, because it can get quite hot in the summer months.
The current price to enter the Nature Reserve and all the attractions is £25.00 and they now insist on a Card / Contactless payment.
We do not always enter the Great Siege Tunnels or the WW2 Tunnels, however if you would like to please message me so this can be arranged. You will need to allow extra time to visit them.

Amazing views with a knowledgeable guide who provided great insights into the landmarks and culture. He took the time to ask our preferences and answered all our questions. We were privileged to have him all to ourselves- a very private tour. He made sure we were okay - that is quite a hike, make sure you have comfortable shoes on - and gave us many options for different paths and attractions. Recommend without any hesitation

Wonderful experience and highly recommend. When we booked it did say if there weren't enough people on the tour it could be cancelled so when we met Stephen my husband and I were so grateful that it wasn't as we were the only ones on it. Stephen is so amiable and easy to talk to. He explained not just the history of the rock to us but Gibraltar it's self. After completing the first leg of the tour he asked if we would like to go to the top of the rock via The Spanish Steps. I wasn't sure at time as the signs did say it was challenging but my husband wanted to go, so that was the route we took. Following Stephen was easy, he stopped whenever we needed to and use each stop to explain what we could see. Sights, caves, history and apes were a fantastic experience. We also went into the tunnels which I definitely recommend. For the price he charges you would be mad not to do this tour, if you are fairly fit as you see and hear far more that doing it alone. My steps count for the day was over 21,000! Trainers and a bottle of water recommend. Thanks Stephen for a great day.

Stephen was a great guide. Although the tour was challenging, he was most patient with all of us and we had many stops to catch our breath. Tour was very informative without overloading us with too much information. I would highly recommend Stephen as a guide and highly recommend the tour.

Fantastic tour from start to finish. Stephen is knowledgeable and patient. Happy to answer any questions and really knows what he is talking about when it comes to Gibraltar. Really happy to have done this tour as I came away knowing a lot more than when I started. Can't recommend it enough!

Walking tour with Stephen was fantastic. We were out for about 3 and a half hours and this took us to the top of the rock, the observation point & cafe.
We saw the monkeys and crossed the suspension bridge. Even though it was hot and I am very unfit Stephen made sure I wasn’t left behind.
The information given was great and we learned a lot about Gibraltar and its history.
Thanks Stephen.

This was amazing!! I did this walking tour with my husband and two children who are in their 20’s. Stephen worked with me ahead of time to tailor a tour to all the sights I wanted to see (the caves, monkeys, back of the island, WW2 tunnels). He was responsive, prompt, informative, interesting and patient (lots of Mediterranean Steps!). My son said this day was his favorite (out of a 3 week cruise). It certainly was among my top favorite days. I would highly recommend a tour with Stephen, he’s fabulous!!
